GENEVA, May 7 (KUNA) — The State of Kuwait won a prize for a project on electronic recruitment during the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum. The Forum was held between May 3 to 6.
“This is a universal acknowledgment of Kuwaiti government efforts in digital applications in dealing with the unemployment problem,” said Fawzi Al-Majdali, Secretary General of Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP), in statements to KUNA.
“Kuwait proved; through the project, the ability to deal with demands of the private sector, as well as meeting aspirations of the younger generation of Kuwaiti job seekers,” he noted.
These efforts would also serve interest of economic growth and stability of employment rate, he said.
WSIS is a UN summit that was initiated in order to create an evolving multi-stakeholder platform aimed at addressing the issues raised by information and communications technology through a structured and inclusive approach at the national, regional and international levels. (end) ta.hb
