HAMMAMET, Tunisia, May 3 (KUNA) — Kuwait Information Ministry participated actively in an exhibition held on sidelines of the annual festival of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU).
The information ministry’s visual and audio departments are taking part in ASBU festival out of belief in importance of this event,Yusuf Mustafa, Kuwait Information Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for TV Affairs, said in a statement to KUNA.
Kuwait is keen on participating in sidelines activities of the festival, like the exhibition in which the country was displaying photos and video clips about the production of Kuwait TV and Radio, he said.
Mustafa hoped the Kuwaiti drama series would win the awards of the festival just like they did in previous festivals.
The pavilion of Kuwait in the exhibition, he added, showcased the development of Kuwait TV for the past 60 years, starting from black-and-white telecast to the ultra-digital age.
“What distinguishes Kuwait pavilion is that it highlights Kuwait’s environment, oil industries, tourism, handicrafts and heritage of the country,” he said.
ASBU’s festival was opened last night and is due to close on May 5. (end) ksj.bs
