KUWAIT, May 22 (KUNA) — The Arabic manuscripts exhibition, organized by the National Library of Kuwait, is a gateway for those interested in old Islamic history and culture, said an official here Sunday.
Speaking to KUNA, Director General of the Library Kamal Abduljalil said that the exhibition, to be held next Tuesday, will provide an insight into the world of Arabic manuscripts and documents.
The exhibition coincides with the country’s celebration as capital of Islamic culture for 2016, said the official, adding that the event was held under the sponsorship of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters (NCCAL).
Abduljalil said that a side lecture on Arabic manuscripts and their historical significance will be held on the sideline of the event attended by diplomats, scholars, and those interested in history. (end) akw.gta
