IRBIL, May 26 (KUNA) — Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) distributes 1,000 food packages Thursday to Iraqi refugee families near Mosul in northern Iraq.
The KRCS convoys were commissioned by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to alleviate the suffering of local refugees in north Iraq, Omar Al-Kanderi, Kuwait’s Consul General in Irbil, told KUNA while supervising the delivery procedures to the refugees.
“We strive to alleviate their suffering through these supportive stands that reiterates Kuwait’s keenness in standing alongside the Iraqi people until the end of their country’s crisis,” Al-Kanderi added.
Kuwait’s aid to the Iraqi people will continue to include medical aid as well to help the refugees in all Iraqi areas, particularly the Kurdistan region, the Kuwaiti diplomat said. (end) sbr.ams.ma
