TUNIS, May 21 (KUNA) — Kuwaiti Journalists Association (KJA) Secretary Faisal Al-Qenaei announced on Saturday that Adnan Al-Rashed, head of KJA, was nominated for the post of vice president of Federation of Arab Journalists (FAJ).
The association is keen on taking part positively in the conference hosted for the first time in the Tunisian capital, Al-Qenaei said in a statement to KUNA and the Kuwait TV on the sidelines of the 13th conference of the FAJ held today.
The conference will witness election for several posts and Kuwait works on selecting the best nominees for serving the issues of Arab media, he said.
He stressed that Kuwait is a leading country in ensuring different kinds of freedoms, especially the freedom of expression.
He pointed that the event provides a chance for sharing media expertise and views of Arab media persons as well as enhancing cooperation among Arab media outlets. (Pick up previous) khs.ams.hm
