KFSD firemen control fire in Shuwaikh industrial area

KUWAIT, May 31 (KUNA) — Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) on Tuesday said seven fire brigades joined forces and succeeded to control a fire that broke out at carpentry in Al-Shuwaikh industrial area. No causalities were reported.
Deputy Director at KFSD Brigadier Khaled Al-Mikrad told KUNA that the fire covered an area of almost 2,000 square meters.
Only martial damage was reported and investigation is underway to determine cause of the blaze, he noted.
Fire engines from the departments of Al-Shuwaikh Industrial Area, Al-Shuhada, Al-Salmiya, Sabahn, Al-Qurain and Al-Ardhiyah took part in controlling the fire that broke out on Monday. (end) hmd.ss
