Jordanian, UAE leaders discuss regional, int'l issues

ABU DHABI, May 1 (KUNA) — The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan met Sunday with visiting King Abdullah II of Jordan, official media reported.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of bolstering joint Arab action in the region in order to face ongoing challenges and dangers, boost stability and security, and achieve peace and tolerance, an official statement said, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM).
They also pointed out international cooperation and coordination importance in countering radicalism and violence in the region, and fighting terrorist groups and organizations.
The Emirati-Jordanian talks also addressed their current bilateral and strategic ties, and means to enhance them in a way that achieves their common goals and future vision, and solidifies the basis of their joint cooperation.
The top Emirati official and Jordanian King also expressed their joy over the current level of their bilateral ties, and joint desire to expand them in all fields to achieve further development and prosperity for their countries. (end)
