JORDANIAN-QATARI ECONOMIC FORUM KICKS OFF IN DOHA

DOHA, Qatar, – The Jordanian-Qatari Economic Forum, kicked off in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Monday, with the participation of businessmen, investors and representatives of the private sector, from both countries.

Head of the Jordanian delegation to the forum, and Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Nael Kabariti, said that, both countries are keen on Arab unity and solidarity, noting that Qatar paved the way for holding the event, as it recognises the importance of Arab economic integrity.

He pointed to Jordan’s relentless efforts, to develop legislation regulating the investment and economic process, as well as, the business environment to be able to attract more investments into the Kingdom.

Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Khalifah Bin Jasim Al Thani, voiced hope that the forum will be an opportunity for businessmen from both countries, to set up trade partners in a number of sectors.

He highlighted the need for a better utilisation of economic potentials, to achieve sustainable development that meets the aspiration of both peoples.
