Iraqi President Meets Kuwaiti Foreign Minister

Baghdad, Iraqi President Fuad Masum met here Wednesday met with Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who is now visiting Iraq to participate in the ministerial meeting of the sixth session of the joint higher committee between the two countries.

During the meeting, they reviewed relations between the two countries in addition to political and security developments in Iraq and the region.

The Iraqi president praised the Kuwait’s stances in support of his country and its stability, stressing the importance of working to advance and develop various areas of bilateral cooperation.

For his part, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister reiterated his country’s firm supportive position of Iraq and its commitment to support efforts to strengthen security and stability in it.
