Interior Ministry denies reports on possible terrorist acts in Ramadan

KUWAIT, May 22 (KUNA) — Ministry of Interior dismissed reports published on a local newspaper that the terrorist group of Hezbollah and Iraq’s Popular Mobilization were to commit terrorist acts during the holy month of Ramadan.
Reports regarding this matter were absolutely incorrect, said the ministry’s media department in a press statement on Sunday.
It stressed that security bodies are carrying out its full duties and taking all precautionary measures aiming to maintain the country’s security, and the safety of citizens and residents.
The statement called on people not to get carried away with false information.
It affirmed that the ministry is keen on updating the public with all developments pertaining to security. (end)
