Institutional capacity project supports Kuwait's nat'l plan – SCPD

KUWAIT, May 4 (KUNA) — The institutional capacity development project supports state bodies taking part in the country’s national plan, including the Supreme Council for Planning and Development (SCPD) and the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB), a senior official said Wednesday.
The project, organized by SCPD in cooperation with the UN Development Program (UNDP), also backs implementing, following, and evaluating Kuwait’s national plan, SCPD’s Secretary-General Khaled Mahdi told participants at a UNDP’s introductory workshop.
It will also provide technical support and transfer knowledge, expertise, and skills to SCPD, CSB, and other state bodies through the experts it will assign to these bodies, Mahdi said.
He added that the project will contribute in facilitating recruitment of experts to assist in enhancing the institutional and personal performance for the governmental bodies.
Meanwhile, Mahdi indicated that the introductory workshop sheds light on the measures of recruiting experts, as well as the main requirements and ways of recruitment, in addition to announcing the new system between SCPD and UNDP in preparing and recruiting experts in the shortest time. (end)
