His Highness PM's Vietnam visit to boost bilateral ties – Amb.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 (KUNA) — The expected official visit of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to Vietnam this week coincides with the 40th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries, said Kuwait’s Ambassador to Vietnam Adnan Al-Ahmad Wednesday.
The visit also comes in the framework of strengthening bilateral relations, as well as supporting joint cooperation, especially in the economic field, the Ambassador told KUNA.
His Highness the Prime Minister is to arrive to the Republic of Vietnam for a two-day official visit as part of an Asian tour, which also includes Bangladesh, South Korea and Japan.
While in Vietnam, His Highness will hold talks with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, he added.
“We are looking forward to several agreements and memoranda of understanding to be signed to expand economic, scientific, technological, transportation and commercial cooperation,” he said.
Vietnam is seen as qualitative leap in the economic field and is one of the emerging markets in Southeast Asia that encourages Kuwait and businessmen to invest there. (end) aab.ss
