HE Deputy Prime Minister Meets Thai Prime Minister

Bangkok, – HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud has met with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha, on the occasion of his visit to the Thai capital Bangkok at the head of the Qatari delegation participating in the Second Summit of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue which concluded here on Monday.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways of developing them in various fields, in addition to the most important issues raised during the summit.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud and his accompanying delegation left Bangkok on Tuesday.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and the accompanying delegation were seen off upon departure at Thai Air Base Airport by Thai Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Virasakdi Futrakul, HE Qatar’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Thani, a number of officials from the Thai foreign ministry and staff of the Qatari Embassy in Bangkok.

The summit discussed several topics aimed at consolidating cooperation and promoting dialogue among the Asian nations to confront the common challenges.

The summit is a regional platform for exchanging views, ideas and suggestions on various political, economic and security topics of interest to the continent.
