HBKU HOSTS LECTURES ON “PROPHET MUHAMMAD AS A MODEL” AND “IMPORTANCE OF INNOVATION”

Doha, – Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), will host a public lecture titled “The Prophet Muhammad as a Model for Approaching Diversity in the 21st Century” that will take place at the college’s building within Education City tomorrow.

The talk will be delivered by Jonathan AC Brown from Georgetown University, who is a leading American scholar of Islamic studies and author. Through his lecture, Brown will explore how the teachings of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) provide guidance for how to manage diversity in a modern world that is dealing with recent surges in nationalism.

HBKU will be also hosting, in collaboration with the Embassy of the United States of America in Doha, Terry Jones � a world-renowned entrepreneur and speaker � on Tuesday April 25th for a lecture on innovation, digital relationships, and leadership in the wired age.

The lecture, titled “The Importance of Innovation and Digital Relationships in an Entrepreneurial World,” will be delivered by Terry Jones at the HBKU Student Center.

By hosting Jones’ talk, HBKU is demonstrating its commitment to act as a regional hub for thought-leadership, being home and host to several renowned scholars, academics, and aspiring learners. (QNA)
