H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed meets French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in Paris on Monday.

The meeting, held as part of Sheikh Abdullah’s official visit to France, discussed ways to enhance bilateral co-operation, especially in the political, commercial, economic, cultural and educational fields.

The two sides also discussed means to strengthen the strategic partnership between the UAE and France, in the light of growing trade exchange between the two countries. They also reviewed the latest regional and international developments and the international community’s efforts to combat terrorism.

Sheikh Abdullah emphasised the importance of continuous contacts and co-ordination between the UAE and France to take their relations to new levels. He praised the strong ties between the two countries in all fields.

Jean-Yves Le Drian welcomed Sheikh Abdullah’s visit to France and expressed his country’s keenness to strengthen strategic relations with the UAE in all domains. He also applauded the role played by the UAE at the regional and international levels.

The meeting was attended by Mu’dhid Hareb Migheer Al Khaili, UAE Ambassador to France.
