Riyadh, – The Directors General of the Public Security of the GCC member states held their first meeting in Riyadh today.

Qatar’s delegation to the meeting was headed by HE Director General of Public Security Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi.

At the outset of the meeting, its chairman, the Bahraini Director General of the Public Security Major General Tariq Hassan Al Hassan, delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of the meeting to tackle regional security challenges and threats. He added that challenges and threats have increased in the security, economic and social sectors, with the spreading of terrorism, maritime threats, extremism, violence and new organized and cybercrimes, and threats that affect the living conditions of citizens.
