Foreign Minister Holds Phone Conversation with UN Secretary-General

HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani held today a telephone conversation with HE Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres.

During the phone conversation, they discussed enhancing cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Nations in all areas of mutual interest.

HE the Foreign Minister briefed the Secretary-General on the latest developments in the Gulf crisis and the measures taken by the siege countries against Qatar.

The UN Secretary-General underlined the need for all Member States to support the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and expressed his thanks for Qatar’s sustained support for the Organization over the past years.

HE the Foreign Minister highlighted importance given by Qatar to the work of the UNRWA, lauding its role in serving the Palestinian people and stressing Qatar’s continued support for the Organization.
