Flying out of MSP airport? You have 11 new local food options

As the 16th busiest airport in North America, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport continues to spread its wings.

Foodwise, that has meant opening 15 new restaurants in the past 18 months in the Lindbergh Terminal as part of the first phase of a major expansion. While a few national brands are in that count, the majority enlisted are local outfits spotlighting Minnesota’s culinary culture.

We recently toured the newly unveiled local restaurants. Here’s a what’s what, where to find them whether it be the new Food Truck Alley or the main mall and what’s offered.

And there’s more to come. In addition to restaurants from this first phase of construction, a request for proposal process is underway to bring in 30 to 35 new restaurants. Construction is projected to begin February 2018.
