FIRST EDUCATIONAL FESTIVAL KICKS OFF

Doha, – The First Educational Festival, organized by Al Faisal Without Borders Foundation (ALF), kicked off today. The festival will continue until March 19.

The four-day festival was inaugurated by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi, and HE Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ALF Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al-Thani.

HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al-Thani praised the attention and care given by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the educational system and to the advancement of the educational process, which is one of the pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030.

His Excellency said that the notable participation in the festival by students, teachers and parents is the best evidence of the extent of awareness of the importance of education in view of the support extended by the State to develop educational system and its outputs, praising in this regard the sponsorship of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to the festival.

Director of School Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Khalifa Al Dirham said that the festival was of great importance as it supports the educational process and includes many important educational competitions that enrich the talents of students and support their academic level.

Al Faisal Without Borders seeks to contribute to achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030, of which human resource development is one of the pillars, said ALF General Manager Abdullatif Al Yafei.

HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education and HE Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ALF opened the exhibition in which 50 exhibitors showcase a range of modern teaching methods. (QNA)
