EU ready to work closely with Turkey to fight terrorism

BRUSSELS, June 29 (KUNA) — The European Union reiterated Wednesday its continuing solidarity with Turkey, its government and its people and reaffirmed its commitment to work closely together to fight the global threat of terrorism in all its forms.
EU High Representative Federica Mogheri and EU Commissioner for neighbourhood policy and Enlargement Johannes Hahn in a joint statement said “Turkey has suffered another tragic terrorist attack, this time at Istanbul’s Atatأ¼rk Airport.” They noted that the attack has killed at least 36 people and injured many others.
“We extend our sincere condolences to the families and friends of all those killed and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” it added. (end) nk.rk
