ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopian President Dr. Mulatu Teshome has held talks here with the visiting Qatari Foreign Ministe,r Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassin Al-Thani, on ways to enhance bilateral relations.

The president, who described at length the potential investment opportunities in Ethiopia, noted during the meeting here Tuesday the various investment incentives offered by the Ethiopian government and stressed that Qataris businesspeople would benefit by investing in Ethiopia.

Dr. Mulatu and Sheikh Mohammed also agreed on the need to improve the existing economic co-operation by identifying specific areas for projects.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman said the two sides had agreed on a roadmap which would help government officials and the business community from Qatar to visit Ethiopia in the next three months and to identify concrete projects.

They also discussed ways of enhancing and improving co-operation and strengthening economic ties, according to the minster.

Ethiopian Ambassador to Qatar Mesganu Arga, who also attended the meeting, said bilateral relations were steadily growing and the two sides had been identifying areas of co-operation for foreign direct investments and for the financing of development projects.
