Egypt denounces Ataturk Airport attack

CAIRO, June 29 (KUNA) — Egypt condemned on Wednesday the “terrorist attack” that targeted the Ataturk Airport, Istanbul, Turkey on Tuesday, killing 36 people and leaving 147 others injured.
The denunciation came in a statement by Ahmed Abu Zaid, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who also presented his deepest condolences to the Turkish people and victims’ families, wishing quick recovery for the wounded.
He expressed the solidarity of the Egyptian people with the Turkish people in these difficult moments, calling for a unified international effort to combat and uproot terrorism. (end) asm.ha
