BASSIL MEETS DIPLOMATS, KENAAN AND ADWAN: LEBANON DOES NOT INTERFERE IN ARAB COUNTRIES’ AFFAIRS

Foreign Minister, Gebran Bassil, on Friday met at Villa Boustros with UAE Ambassador, Hamad Saeed Al- Shamsi, and Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Nazih Al-Najari, in addition to Saudi Embassy Acting Charge d’Affaires Sultan Al-Sibai.

This afternoon, Minister Bassil met with MPs George Adwan and Ibrahim Kenaan over the election law issue.

This morning, and in reply to a question about the rift between Gulf countries and Qatar, Bassil stressed that Lebanon only seeks bringing Arab brethrens together, saying “Lebanon does not interfere in friendly and Arab countries’ affairs.”

Bassil hoped that dialogue, understanding and diplomatic solutions would be happening instead of conflict, for as he said “our goal at the end is to fight terrorism, eliminate extremism and anchor peace and understanding.”
