BAHRAINI KING, PHILIPPINE PRESIDENT HOLD TALKS

Manama, – King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain on Thursday held talks with Philippine President Rodrigo Douterti, who is currently visiting Bahrain, as part of a Gulf tour.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed relations between the two countries, especially in economic, cultural and tourism fields, and exchanged views on regional and international developments besides a number of issues of common interest.

The Bahraini Monarch and the Philippine President witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the two sides, including the establishment of a joint high committee for bilateral cooperation between the two countries and a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain and the Philippine Foreign Service Institute. The two sides also signed a protocol on some amendments of the Regulation of Air Transport Services between the two Countries.(QNA)
