MANAMA, May 29 (KUNA) — The General Conference of the Arab Towns Organization (ATO) elected Sunday Ahmad Al-Sabeeh as secretary general, succeeding late Abdulaziz Al-Adsani.
Following the vote, Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Khalifa congratulated Al-Sabeeh, and paid tribute for late Al-Adsani for his contributions to achieving the ATO’s objectives.
“The efforts of late Al-Adsani gained respect of Arab governments for ATO’s role,” he said.
ATO’s standing office met last October and nominted Al-Sabeeh for the position, a nomination that was endorsed today. (pickup previous) mge.bs
