AT LEAST 7 PKK ELEMENTS KILLED IN TURKEY’S SOUTHEASTERN

Ankara – A total of seven PKK elements, who tried to cross into Turkey’s southeastern Hakkari province, were killed on Saturday, Turkish military announced.

According to the statement of Turkish General Staff carried by Anadolu Agency (AA), Turkish fighter jets hit PKK elements, adding that a total of seven PKK elements were killed in the airstrike.

The statement said the total number of elements killed in Hakkari and surrounding areas in 2017 reached 166.

Earlier on Saturday, a Turkish soldier was killed in southern Hatay province during operations against PKK, AA reported. (QNA)
