Arab Parliament reiterates solidarity with Syrian people

CAIRO, May 10 (KUNA) — Arab Parliament (AP) reiterated solidarity with the Syrian people against recent escalations by the Syrian regime on several cities and areas across Syria.
These escalations, ongoing since April 28, of heavy shelling and air strikes are a clear violation of cessation of hostilities agreement, all four Geneva Communiques, the international humanitarian law, and UNSC resolution 2254, AP said in a statement Tuesday.
The Parliament made its remarks in conclusion of the emergency meeting it held in the Egyptian capital for its office commission and committees of foreign, political, and national security affairs.
The meeting, which billed “For Syria’s Unity”, discussed recent developments in Syria, particularly Aleppo city, condemning all terrorist groups and organizations, including the so-called Islamic State (IS), Al-Nusra Front, and Hezbollah and their hostilities and assaults against innocent civilians in Syria, particularly children.
