The organization is working on developing Arab cities in accordance with the UN’s resolutions, said Al-Sabeeh in a speech at the 17th conference of ATO, held in Bahrain with the participation of Kuwait on Sunday.
He noted the worsening conditions in conflict-struck Arab cities, adding that ATO is planning on resettling citizens in these areas.
On his part, Bahraini Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Issam Khalifa said the conference aimed to discuss the negative impact of rapid urbanization on Arab cities, including poverty, lack of resources, conflicts, displacement of citizens and environmental issues.
