Al-Kuwari Urges for Support of Campaign for the Relief of Syrians

Doha, July 24 (QNA) – The  Qatari Campaign for the Relief of the Syrian people (we all Sham) organized by Qatari charities will start on  Wednesday in various parts of the country and will continue until 29 July.
 The campaign is part of the Qatari official and public support of brethren in Syria, and a translation of the fraternity bonds that bind the two peoples, and addressing the growing needs of Syrian refugees and displaced, whose numbers are increasing day by day as a result of the continued violence. The campaign, that involves Sheikh Eid Charity, Qatar Charitable Society, Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF ) and Qatar Red Crescent Society, will be launched at the commercial complexes , markets and mosques spread in various parts of the country. The campaign will include an open day and a public festival at Doha Sheraton Hotel at 9:30 pm next Saturday. The main events of the campaign will be aired in several satellite TV  channels.
 In a press conference held in this regard, the campaign Chairman Dr. Faisal bin Jassim Al Thani highlighted the need, of the internally displaced and Syrian refugees in the neighboring countries, for assistance, emergency relief and humanitarian aid of food, shelters and medical supplies.
 He confirmed the keenness of Qatari charities to deliver relief assistance not only to Syrian refugees the in the neighboring countries (Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan) but also in side Syria, if the right conditions prevail.
 Dr. Faisal bin Jassim Al Thani called on all Qatar’s citizens and residents to participate and contribute to this campaign.
 Representatives of the participating Qatari Charities also talked about the campaign and invited all the citizens and the residents of the State of Qatar to contribute to the success of this campaign. (QNA)
