32 PEOPLE KILLED IN BUS ACCIDENT IN TANZANIA

Dar es Salaam, – Thirty-two people, including 29 children, were killed in a bus accident in northern Tanzania, police said Saturday.

A small bus veered off a steep road near the town of Karatu, in Arusha region, on Saturday morning and plunged into a river, German News Agency (DPA) quoted regional police commander as saying.

The children were pupils at the Lucky Vincent school in the nearby town of Arusha, DPA reported.

Two teachers and the bus driver were also among the dead, the police commander said.

Several other children were injured, some of them severely, he added. (QNA)
