25 more US Marines arrive at US embassy in Baghdad – CNN

WASHINGTON, May 6 (KUNA) — Twenty-five additional US Marines arrived at the US embassy in Baghdad on Friday, a US official told CNN.
The Marines were requested by the State Department, which is in charge of security, CNN reported.
Concerns have grown since Iraqi demonstrators last week stormed into Baghdad’s “Green Zone,” where the US embassy is located.
Neither the US Defense Department nor the State Department disclosed the exact number of security forces already in the “Green Zone.” (end) rm.mt
