Witnesses give testimonies at Rauf Mirgadirov’s hearing

Baku: Baku Court of Grave Crimes on Wednesday resumed a hearing on the case of imprisoned journalist Rauf Mirgadirov.

The hearing, presided over by judge Alisultan Osmanov, was held behind closed doors.

Correspondent of Turan Information Agency Farid Gahramanov and political observer Azer Rashidoghlu gave testimonies as witnesses.

The hearing will be resumed on December 2.

Mirgadirov was detained last year on April 19 in Turkey and handed over to Azerbaijan, where he was charged with treason (Article 274). On 19 April 2014, Mirgadirov was sentenced to three months’ pretrial detention. The term of his pretrial detention has been extended for several times since.
