’Wings for Life World Run’ held in Antalya

ANTALYA (CIHAN)- Tens of thousands of runners at 34 different points from 32 countries across 13 time zones and in four seasons, night and day, ran simultaneously for the “Wings For Life Run.”

The race were organized to raise fund for spinal cord injuries and rise awareness about the illness. Millions around the world had opportunity to watch the race live in all 34 points.

Turkey was also one of the countries which participated in the campaign. 1,100 runners gathered in Antalya to compete for “those who cant run.”

Ethiopian Lemawork Ketama was male winner of simultaneous race and Elise Selvikvåg Molvik took Global Female Winner title. Turkey ranked 15th among males with Murat Kaya (55,93 km) and 3rd place among females with Svetlana Shepeleva (48,29 km).
