Underground natural resources in Azerbaijan’s occupied territories made public

Baku: The richest minerals fields of Azerbaijan are in the territories occupied by Armenians.

According to press service of Working Group on assessment of losses as a result of occupation of Azerbaijan’s territories by Armenian armed forces, there are 155 mineral fields, including 5 gold fields, 6 mercury fields, 2 copper fields, 1 lead and zinc field, 19 facing stone fields, 10 cube stone fields, 4 cement raw-material fields, 21 holystone and ash fields, 10 clay fields, 9 detritus rubbish fields, 5 building sand fields, 9 gypsum anhydride and alabaster fields, 1 pearlyte field, 1 obsidian field, 3 vermicullite fields, 14 colorful and decorative stones fields, 11 underground potable and 10 mineral water fields.

Generally, as a result of geological planning, research and exploration, as well as various geophysical works conducted in Lesser Caucasus, there are 64 fields registered in the state balance, 159 industrial, 145 non-industrial fields, as well as 561 fields, including 194 perspective fields in the territories of Azerbaijan occupied by Armenians.
