TurkStat: Healthcare expenditures in Turkey increase by 12 pct

According to the TurkStat data, the total healthcare expenditure increased from TL 84.3 million in 2013 to 94.7 million in 2014. The same statistics reveal that TL 73.3 million of the total expenditure was met by the state’s general budget, while 21.3 percent was met by the private sector.

The per capita healthcare expenditure also increased by 11 percent, standing at TL 1,232 annually. The per capita health expenditure was TL 1,110 in 2013.
