Turkey to set clocks back an hour tonight

Turkey is finally setting clocks back an hour early at 4 a.m. on Sunday after delaying the switch for two weeks due to a repeat parliamentary election on Nov. 1.
Along with other countries in the Eastern European Time, Turkey had been due to set the clocks back at the end of the daylight saving time on Oct. 24. But the government delayed implementing the change to ensure that there will be daylight during the vote, thus making it easier and safer for the Turks to cast their votes.
The delay caused widespread confusion as electronic devices including computers and smartphones defied the government imposed delay and altered the time anyway.
