85 billion, the Turkish Statistics Institute (TurkStat) said on Thursday.Tourism revenues constitute one of the most important items that help finance Turkeyand#39s current account deficit, its main economic weakness.

The number of foreign visitors to Turkey in the first nine months of the year totaled 30.09 million, up 611 percent over the same period last year according to figures released by the Culture and Tourism Ministry last week.

A total of 34.9 million tourists visited Turkey in 2013, a 984 rise over 2012.
