TODAY’S – Prime minister in Soma

Prime minister in SomaStatesmen visiting the scene of a disaster and taking care of people are expected to encourage the local residents of that place, but they should do this in such a way that they are almost invisible. They should listen rather than speak. They should bow down, even if they are criticized. If they do not plan to act this way, they should not visit. Unfortunately, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip ErdoIan’s Soma visit caused disturbance among the people instead of providing relief. His statements were not even close to being acceptable to those who are aware of the negligence of the state in the incident. Presenting century-old incidents from other countries as examples, ErdoIan tried to prove that death is part of the nature of mining. He said that 204 miners died in an accident in the United Kingdom in England in 1862. In 1866, again in the UK, 316 workers lost their lives after a mine blast, he said. In Belgium, 120 miners died in an 1887 methane blast inside a mine, he continued. His examples were all from the Western world of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century.
