Ex-Fener coach Kocaman joins KonyaFormer Fenerbahe coach Aykut Kocaman has joined struggling Spor Toto Super League side Torku Konyaspor, filling the vacuum created by the departure of Mesut Bakkal, who had to call it quits on Saturday after a seemingly endless string of bad results. Konyaspor is hovering just above the relegation zone, so Kocaman has plenty of work to do at his new club.

The 49-year-old Kocaman had previously coached Istanbulspor, Malatyaspor and Konyaspor He left Konya for Ankaraspor and later took over the Fenerbahe helm in 2009. He led the Canaries to the league championship in 2010-11 and to the UEFA Europa League semifinals the following season.

Kocaman submitted his resignation as Fenerbahe coach on May 29, 2013 and had remained unemployed until Monday, when he joined Torku Konyaspor.
