The Tour of Taihu Lake will be held in China from November 1 to 9.

The Synergy Baku Cycling’ riders will continue their racing schedule in China to build on their impressive performance in the just-ended Tour of Hainan.

Team captain Maxim Averin will attend the competition along with national champions Elchin Asadov, Enver Asanov, Ismail Ilyasov, Samir Jabrayilov and Alex Surutkovych. Only Christoph Schweizer will not take part at the race in eastern China.

The nine-stage race is mostly flat, offering bunch sprint finishes. The weather for the first few days is expected to be about 20 degrees C with light rain.

The squad recently competed successfully in the Tour of Hainan, where it took the fifth place among 20 teams, standing above such strong teams as Holland Belkin-Pro Cycling Team, Australian Drapac Professional Cycling and Team Novo Nordisk of the U.S.

Team manager David McQuaid praised the Azeri riders for their unity and strong performance.

Being loyal to its slogan “For a sustainable future” Synergy Group OJSC is the main sponsor of the first professional cycling team of Azerbaijan “Synergy Baku Cycling Project”.
