Suspect arrested in case of 2 Syrian teenagers beaten to death

Habip Oral, the suspect in the case of two Syrian teenagers who were beaten to death in iskenderun district of southern province of Hatay, was arrested by court on Friday. The body of one of the Syrians, Abdulhamit Taben (16) was found by locals in the street on Wednesday night and was taken to iskenderun State Hospital. The initial findings showed that Taben was beaten to death. Later on Wednesday night, another body belonging to Ahmet Taben was found in similar circumstances. The police investigation revealed that the teenagers were relatives and that they were both beaten to death. The investigation also revealed that both of the victims were working for Oral, who is a waste collector. The police, after learning that Oral had been beating the teenagers the night of the incident, detained four people, including their employer. The suspects were referred to court on Thursday night after their testimonies were taken. Oral was arrested and the other three were released on Friday.
