Russian Economic Development Minister to visit Baku

Russian delegation led by Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev will arrive in Baku on June 1.

This news was announced by Azerbaijan’s Economy and Industry Ministry on May 29.

“During the three-day visit, the minister will hold meetings in the Azerbaijani government, as well as examine a number of facilities operating in the republic, including Sumgayit Technology Park,” the ministry said.

Moreover, an Azerbaijani-Russian business forum will be held in Baku as part of the visit of a Russian delegation on June 4. The event will be held within the visit of delegations of Russian Udmurtia and Kaluga Oblast.

Earlier, Uljukaev met with Azerbaijan’s Economy and Industry Minister Shahin Mustafayev at the 18th International St. Petersburg Economic Forum on May 25.

The meeting discussed a number of draft documents such as an intergovernmental agreement on mutual encouragement and protection of investments, a memorandum of cooperation between the economy ministries of the two countries, as well as the Azerbaijani-Russian intergovernmental agreement on the establishment of the Azerbaijani trade fair center in the territory of Russian National Exhibition Center.
