Police intervention in group holding demonstration at İstanbul courthouse

A group of people who were holding a demonstration for a slain People’s Protection Units (YPG) member whose body cannot be taken to Turkey faced a police intervention in front of İstanbul Courthouse on Friday.

People gathering in front of the building and made a press statement. They protested authorities who do not allow transportation of YPG member Aziz Guler who was killed during clash with the İslamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Arriving at the scene, riot police warned the protesters to and the demonstration. When the group resisted, police intervened in the group. Some of the protesters kicked the shields of the officers.
