Police clash with protesters when road closed

ISTANBUL (CIHAN)- Police intervened in a group which closed a road to traffic on Wednesday in Istanbul while staging a protest on mine explosion in Soma.

The large group gathered in the evening, set fire on the road and closed it to traffic. Arriving at the scene, police tried to disperse crowd with water cannon and tear gas. The group later threw explosive materials to the security forces.
