PM Davutoglu calls for new constitution during victory speech

Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stated that he calls for Turkey and political parties for a new constitution during balcony speech after the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) won the general election on Sunday.

“I’m calling on all parties entering parliament to form a new civilian national constitution,” he said to thousands of AK Party supporters in Ankara during the ceremony to mark party’s victory.

“Let’s work together towards a Turkey where conflict, tension and polarisation are non-existent and everyone salutes each other in peace.”
