PKK-affiliated group closes street in southeastern Turkey

Terrorists from the Patriotic Revolutionist Youth Movement (YDG-H) — an affiliate of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) –

closed the busiest street to traffic in the southeastern province of Mardin’s Nusaybin district on Monday.

The terrorists seized starter keys of drivers on Cagcag Street and used the semi-trailer trucks to form a barricade. Stranded drivers had to leave the street from back alleys. Special operations units arrived at the scene with armored vehicles. Waiting in the area for some time, the security forces left the scene as they could not intervene in the incident.

The shopkeepers did not opened shops due to the incident. The street is still closed. Developments will be followed.
