Opposition leader criticizes EU’s ’hypocritical’ Turkey policy

Osman Dogan, who was appointed to the post of managing editor of the Millet daily after riot police stormed the headquarters of critical media outlets affiliated with Koza ipek Holding in Istanbul on Oct. 28, was revealed to have posted tweets in which he states that he misses and”the centuries when women were sold as property.and”
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutorand’s Office ordered on Oct. 26 for Koza ipek Holding to be placed under the management of a trustee panel while an investigation continues into the groupand’s purported ties to US-based Islamic scholar Fethullah Gandulen, who is currently wanted for and”being the head of and managing a terrorist organization.and”
Upon the court ruling, media outlets owned by the holding were forcibly taken over on Oct. 28, and a number of trustees were appointed by the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) government. Trustees initially fired the legal editor-in-chief of Millet, Deier andOzergandun, and then appointed Dogan as the managing editor.
Dogan once more come to the fore on social media after Twitter users revealed his controversial tweets about women and the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatandurk.
