Official welcoming ceremony for Azerbaijani president held in Georgia

An official welcoming ceremony for President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was held on Thursday at the Presidential Palace in Georgia.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was welcomed by his Georgian counterpart Giorgi Margvelashvili.

A guard of honor was arranged for the Azerbaijani president. The chief of the guard of honor reported to President Ilham Aliyev.

State and government officials of Georgia were introduced to President Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani delegation was introduced to President Giorgi Margvelashvili.

Following this, the Azerbaijani and Georgian presidents held a one-on-one meeting which will be followed by a meeting in an expanded format with the participation of the two countries’ delegations. At the end, the presidents will sign a declaration.

The Azerbaijani and Georgian presidents are scheduled to hold a joint press conference.
