Oath taking lasts for 9,5 hours at Parliament

Deputies elected in general elections, held on November 1, took their oaths in Parliament on Tuesday which lasted for 9,5 hours.

Deniz Baykal, a deputy of the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), chaired the swearing-in session as the oldest deputy in Parliament. The first round of voting for the speaker is expected to be held either on Sunday or Monday of next week.
