Missing land mentioned in ancient books discovered by archeologists in Izmir

Ten films from a wide range of countries, from India to Sweden and from Palestine to Denmark, will vie for Golden Orange awards in the international competition of this yearand’s 52nd Antalya film festival, organizers announced this week.
There are two films from Turkey in the competition, and”Randuzgarin Hatiralariand” (Memories of the Wind), which marks the third feature by and”Sonbaharand” (Autumn) director andOzcan Alper and and”Kalandar Soiuiuand” (Cold of Kalandar), which garnered the best director prize for Mustafa Kara at the 28th Tokyo Film Festival in October, with both titles having their national premieres in Antalya, the festival committee said in a press release issued Tuesday.
Other films in the selection include and”Bridgend,and” directed by Jeppe Ronde of Denmark and”Enclave,and” a Serbian-German co-production directed by Goran Radovanovic and”Girls Lost,and” from Swedish female director Alexandra-Therese Keining and”Masaan,and” a co-production between India and France and and”Memories on Stone,and” a German-Iraqi co-production, directed by Kurdish filmmaker ievket Emin Korki.
and”Pioneer Heroes,and” by Russian actress-filmmaker Natalya Kudryashova and”Sworn Virgin,and” by Italyand’s Laura Bispuri and and”The Idol,and” by Palestinian director Hany Abu-Assad round out the bill.
The Golden Orange for Best Film in the international competition carries a cash prize of 50,000 euros. The competition will hand out awards in six categories in total, including best director, best screenplay, best score, and acting awards.
The Antalya International Film Festival, Turkeyand’s longest-running gathering of cinema professionals, is set to take place from Nov. 29 to Dec. 6 this year.
The festivaland’s 52nd edition comes with numerous changes, including the removal of its awardsand’ name from the eventand’s title. It has also been rescheduled to follow immediately on the heels of the cityand’s international piano festival, which will mark its 16th edition Nov. 17-29, to form an uninterrupted, month-long program.
